GONE ARE THE METAL PLAYGROUNDS OF OUR CHILDHOODS IN FAVOR OF SAFER PLASTIC MATERIALS. THOUGH THE METAL EQUIPMENT IS NO LONGER POPULATING PLAYGROUNDS THAT DOESN’T MEAN THEY DON’T HAVE A PURPOSE. WE CHOSE LEDERMAN PARK BOSTON, MA AS THE LOCATION FOR RECYCLED RECESS BECAUSE BOSTON IS THE BIRTH PLACE OF THE FIRST AMERICAN PLAYGROUND. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT IS INCORPORATED THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. THE FAMILY ROOM HAS A VAST METAL JUNGLE GYM IN ITS CENTER THAT GROWS BEYOND THE ROOFLINE AND SPARKS IMAGINATION AND PLAY. THE DINING ROOM USES A METAL PICNIC TABLE TO CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF A FAMILY PICNIC FOR EVERY MEAL. IN THE KITCHEN A METAL SWING SET IS INTEGRATED WITH THE COUNTER TO CREATE A FUN EATING EXPERIENCE. THE LIVING ROOM UTILIZES HAMMOCK INSPIRED FURNITURE TO FOSTER THE RELAXATION OF LAYING ON THE GRASS. THE INDOOR GYM PROMOTES EXERCISE AND FITNESS. THE DRAWING ROOM’S METAL GEODESIC DOME SKYLIGHT OFFERS INSPIRING VIEWS OF THE SKY AND BEYOND. METAL MONKEY BARS ARE TRANSFORMED INTO AN INTERACTIVE CATWALK RAILING WRAPPING THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE HOUSE.
